1. The Core Pledge
Thoughts to Stars (杂念星空) is a private, offline journaling sanctuary. Everything you write is stored locally on your device and nowhere else. There is no account, no cloud sync, and no server that ever receives the text of your thoughts. When you release a thought, its text is permanently destroyed — only counts (such as how many thoughts you have written or released) are kept, and those counts also live only on your device.
2. Who We Are
Thoughts to Stars ("the app", "we", "us") is an independent mobile application for iOS and Android. You can reach us at any time at support@thoughtrelease.app.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
The following data is created by you and stored exclusively in the app's local storage on your device:
- Your written thoughts — the text of each thought until you release it.
- Thought metadata — the mood tag (Anxiety, Confusion, Irritation, Sadness, or Other) and intensity you assign, plus timestamps.
- Galaxy and Atlas data — the positions of stars, links you draw between them, and figures you create.
- Aggregate counts and statistics — numbers shown in "My Star River", such as counts of thoughts written and released, oldest star age, and theme distribution.
- Settings and preferences — including your language preference (English or 中文).
- Constellations you make — names, lore, and figures you draw and keep on this device.
We have no access to this data. We cannot read it, recover it, or restore it. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.
4. What Happens When You Release a Thought
The release ritual is designed to be final. When you release a thought, its text is permanently and irreversibly deleted from local storage. What remains is only numerical: the count of released thoughts increases, and a released star (geometry only — position, mood, intensity, no text) may remain in your Atlas sky. We cannot recover a released thought, and neither can you.
5. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not require or offer an account, email sign-up, or login.
- We do not collect your name, contacts, location, photos, or device identifiers for our own purposes.
- We do not operate advertising, and we do not sell or share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not run analytics on the content of your writing. Any crash diagnostics, if enabled, are governed by OS settings and never include thought text.
6. Third-Party Purchases
Thoughts to Stars is free to download. Monthly and yearly subscriptions, and the optional Lifetime purchase, are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Purchases are associated with your store account — not your private thoughts. The stores process this data under their own privacy policies.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Because your data lives only on your device, you control retention entirely:
- Release a thought — its text is destroyed immediately and permanently.
- Delete the app — all local data is removed by your operating system along with the app.

3. 仅存储在你设备上的信息
以下数据由你创建，并只保存在应用的本机存储中：
- 你写下的心事——每条心事的文字，直到你将其释放。
- 心事元数据——你标注的情绪（焦虑、困惑、烦躁、悲伤或其他）与强度，以及时间戳。
- 星空与星图数据——星辰位置、你连出的线，以及你绘制的图腾。
- 汇总计数与统计——“我的星河”中展示的数字，例如写过与释放过的条数、最早一颗星的年龄、主题分布。
- 设置与偏好——包括语言偏好（English 或 中文）。
- 你织成的星座——名称、说明，以及你画下并留在本机的图腾。
我们无法访问这些数据，不能阅读、找回或恢复。如果你删除应用，这些数据会一并被系统清除。
4. 当你释放一条心事时
释放仪式被设计为不可逆。当你释放一条心事，其文字会从本机存储中被永久删除。留下的只有数字：已释放计数增加；星图中或许仍有一颗已释放的星（仅几何信息——位置、情绪、强度，不含文字）。我们无法恢复已释放的心事，你也无法恢复。
5. 我们绝不收集的信息
- 我们不要求、也不提供账号、邮箱注册或登录。
- 我们不为自身目的收集你的姓名、通讯录、位置、照片或设备标识符。
- 我们不投放广告，也不向广告商或数据掮客出售或分享个人数据。
- 我们不对你的书写内容做分析。如系统开启了崩溃诊断，由操作系统设置管辖，且绝不包含心事文字。
6. 第三方购买
杂念星空可免费下载。按月、按年订阅以及可选的终身购买，由 Apple App Store 或 Google Play 处理。购买与你的商店账户关联，而与你的私人心事无关。商店依照其自身隐私政策处理相关数据。
7. 数据保留与删除
因为数据只存在于你的设备，保留期限完全由你决定：
- 释放一条心事——其文字立即、永久销毁。
- 删除应用——所有本机数据会随应用被操作系统移除。
